The brooch consists of a 2 mm thick stainless steel core, wrapped in cotton thread and coated with synthetic resin. The synthetic resin provides the color and also ensures stability and waterproofness. Due to the size of the brooch, it is more suitable for pinning to a firm fabric, but due to the way it is made, it is very light.
